How can I contribute to this action?
September 21st was officially declared International Day of Peace by the United Nations in 2001. This day is celebrated to reaffirm the strengthening of ideals of peace and the alleviating of tension and causes of conflict throughout the world. It is also a day of to consider the cessation of violence and conflict.

The details of 'Walk for Peace' Malaysia (organized by Majlis Angkatan Tentera under the
patronage of The Ministry of Defence) are as follow:
Date : Sunday, 21 September 2008
Time : 10.30 am to 12.30 pm
Venue : Dewan Merdeka, Level 4, Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur

Peace is one of humanity's most precious needs. It remains an elusive goal. The vision of a better world is going to be born when there are enough people who find their own vision in this
universal vision-for peace. If you want to say 'I'm the person who didn't create chaos. I just want to do my thing and live rightly. I am a Friend to Mankind', we welcome you to walk as a Friend to Mankind, at the Walk for Peace Event in conjunction with International Day of Peace.
